"Dear Davy, Thank you for your generosity and great talent.
I'm very happy and proud you elected my program
for revisiting or creating such beautiful music"

"Thank you Davy for a wonderful site that helps us along that are just learning
to master or somewhat master the guitar! A fantastic job indeed!"
Tia Ferren, U.S.A.

"Great site. I am a blues and rag guitarist but I also use some modal
tunings for Irish music. My favourite is DADEAE because you can play in
D, G, A, E and a few other keys without a capo. Thanks for the site"
Simon Prager, England

"What a bloody excellent site. Well done. I love your Klezmer arrangement
'Shifting Sands' this is a real gem. Klezmer arrangements are very
hard to find. Do you have any more? Regards"

Clive Owen, England

I will be back to study and I may have some questions"

"Hi Davy, Your site have been a great experience for me.
I play Irish music my self, but indeed not on that level of yours.
Therefore your site is of great value for me, and have inspired me
to keep on working on my guitar. Thanks a lot!"

"
As a fingerpicker for thirty years, I find your arrangements to be
the best interpretations of Celtic music available on the guitar.
Best wishes for the New Year"
Gary Nancy, U.S.A.

"Dear Davy, I've downloaded about a dozen tunes from your site.
The TablEdit format is enabling
me to play tunes I'd never have thought possible.
At present I'm working on Tabhair dom do Lamh, Fred Finns and I'm
really enjoying getting to grips with Shifting Sands.
Thanks again"
Martin Bergin, U.K.

"
Dear Mr. Rogers, Thank you so much for a wonderful, generous web-site!
I have been playing acoustic guitar for 3 years or so, and consider
traditional Irish music to be really quite beautiful, and I hope to be
able to begin learning - you're site is fantastic and a brilliant resource"
Eliot Scott, U.K.

I am a fingerstyle acoustic guitar fan from Thessalonica, Greece.
I love celtic music and love also playing it on the guitar
(I know no one in my city who does so).
I have an acoustic group called "Eclipsis" (guitar, flute, bass, & percussion)
and we play a mixture of minimal and improvised music with some celtic elements.
I use lots of tunings DADGAD etc. I own a Larrivée C-10 all koa guitar
Your site has been a great help for me the past few months
keeping my interest in celtic guitar alive thanx
George Skarogiannis, Greece

Your site is a great resource for anybody that gets sick of just playing straight chords behind trad. I play mostly in covers bands but attended the local session in Ballyboghill, North County Dublin for many years. There is a local centre here called "The Seamus Ennis Cutural centre" It has great musicians playing there nearly every week. We had Pierre Bensusan a few weeks ago. John Renbourne was to visit but cancelled as he was unwell. Met Peggy Seeger there recently. I don't sight read so I used tab to learn a few pieces, started with Arty McGlynn sort of stuff but I'm not so good on the trebles (pleck playing).
I was helping a friend launch her CD last week, Tina McLoughlin. Met a guy there called Ian Melrose...unbelievable player....He's on her CD but I had to learn "Banish Misfortune" for  her last gig. The CD launch was in The Cobblestone" Smithfield, Dublin. I ended up playing on stage with John Sheehan and a friend of mine that plays 5 string banjo. It was just a bit of craic but an experience for me!!
I'm more amateur than pro but get the odd gig because I can play better than most of the locals. So its Sultans of Swing one night then trad the next. I'll check in now and again.
Sites like yours do a great service to any musician that wants to improve their repertoire and broaden their knowledge of the guitar itself
Dave Kennerney, Dublin
